Northern Media are delighted to announce their continued sponsorship of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, who are this year’s Wakefield partner charity with Circus Star. Circus Star is a touring circus that works with partner charities, helping to raise much needed funds for local charities whilst providing free seats for thousands of disadvantaged, disabled or vulnerable children.
Northern Media donated £75.00 to Circus Starr, to support the not-for-profit organisation to introduce hundreds of underprivileged children and children with disabilities in the local community to the magic of the circus.
The circus provides a wonderful arena for inclusion and equality and the charity has seen time and again how a trip to Circus Starr can change a child’s life. Since it was first established in 1987, Circus Starr has given over one million children the chance to see a live show and forget their troubles for the day. Circus Starr will give 100% of the profits from this event to the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, which cares for families who have a child with a life shortening condition.
Chris Elliott, Managing Director at Northern Media said: “I’m very happy to say we are continuing to support the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice again this year. The charity are an asset to the community of Wakefield and are more than deserving of our support.”
