Northern Media directors Chris Elliott and Jonathan Scott attended the Wakefield Annual Charity Christmas Lunch (WACCL) this month.
The fundraising event, held on December 8th 2016 at the Cedar Court Hotel, Wakefield, was raising funds to support MY Burns Club and Theatre Royal Wakefield’s work with young people. The MY Burns Club helps children and young adults in Yorkshire who have suffered a burns injury. The Theatre Royal provides performance training programmes for people between 5-18 years old who live in the Wakefield and Pontefract area.
WACCL is responsible for hosting a wide range of charity events every year in the Wakefield district, helping to unite the area’s business community in order to provide financial support for development projects within the local area.
This year Northern Media were happy to be involved in such a worthwhile event for a second time. As well as supporting two great causes, the lunch provided a great chance to catch up with members of the Wakefield business community in a relaxed and social environment.
Northern Media were joined at the event by clients including Copiserv, AB Print Group Limited, Quest Consulting and XL Joinery among many others.
Sales Director Jonathan Scott commented: “This type of event is not only a good opportunity for businesses in Wakefield to get together but also a way of supporting Wakefield District’s children and young people. This is the second year that we have attended and year on year the event has become stronger. It is great to see Wakefield businesses coming together to support such a superb cause.”
